Shipping Policy

Processing Times
Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Please allow 1–3 business days for your order to ship. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a tracking number by email. Please note that tracking information may take up to 24 hours to update after you receive your shipping confirmation.

Carriers and Delivery
We primarily ship with Canada Post, though alternative couriers may be used when necessary. Once your order has left our warehouse, Standish WoodStory is not responsible for any shipping delays caused by the courier or customs.

Estimated Delivery Times*

  • Canadian Orders: 1–5 business days

  • U.S. Orders: 5–10 business days

  • International Orders: 10–30 business days

*Estimates are from the date of shipment and are for reference only. Please refer to your tracking number for real-time delivery updates.


Duties and Taxes

U.S. Customers
All U.S. customers are required to pre-pay duties at checkout. This new process (effective September 2025) is designed to prevent additional charges upon delivery. If you are still billed for duties, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving the charge at info@standishwoodstory.com and include a copy of your duty receipt with the date shown.

International Customers
International customers are responsible for all duties and taxes incurred on international shipments. Please note that we cannot guarantee international delivery times due to customs and local postal processes.


Damaged Orders

If your order arrives damaged, please report it within 48 hours of delivery to info@standishwoodstory.com. Retain all original packaging and include clear photos of both the damaged item and the packaging materials. Refunds or replacements cannot be issued without this documentation.


Lost or Misdelivered Packages

If tracking shows that your package has been delivered to the correct address, Standish WoodStory cannot be held responsible for loss or theft. We do not issue refunds or replacements for confirmed deliveries. We recommend contacting the courier directly to open an investigation.


Returned, Unclaimed or Refused Packages

If your package is returned to sender or deemed undeliverable due to incomplete or inaccurate shipping information, please note that shipping fees are non-refundable.

If a package is 'returned to sender' because it was unclaimed, refused by the recipient, or returned due to unpaid customs duties, import taxes, or other delivery fees, the buyer is fully responsible for all associated shipping costs. This includes the original outbound shipping charge, any return postage or carrier fees, and any customs charges billed back to Standish WoodStory.

Once the returned item is received and inspected, we may issue a refund for the product cost only, excluding all shipping and return-related fees. Alternatively, we can reship the order at the buyer’s request once all additional shipping costs are paid in full.

Standish WoodStory is not responsible for delivery delays, unclaimed shipments, or losses resulting from the buyer’s failure to pay customs duties or collect their parcel within the carrier’s holding period.
